A credit is what you spend when LocalAmp generates content for you. Credits are counted per channel: one click of Generate Content deducts one credit for each channel in the run, so a Google Business Profile + Facebook run costs 2.
This applies to every plan. There is no unlimited tier. Agent Pro carries a large monthly allowance and spends it like any other plan.
The three numbers that matter
- Balance — how many credits you have right now. Shown on the Dashboard and in the nav chip.
- Monthly allowance — how many credits get added to your balance every 30 days. Depends on your plan.
- Next refresh — the date your next monthly allowance gets added.
Your Billing page is the authoritative source for all three. This article explains how they behave; it deliberately does not restate your allowance, so that it cannot go stale.
How each plan’s credits work
- Free — starts with 3 credits at signup, then adds 1 credit every 30 days. Refresh is automatic.
- Agent Pro Plan + CRM — a monthly allowance for each of your workspaces, refreshed automatically on your Stripe billing date.
Credits are per workspace and cannot be pooled. If you have two workspaces, each has its own balance; one cannot borrow from the other.
A refresh is a reset, not a top-up. Unused monthly credits do not roll over — at renewal your balance goes back to your allowance rather than adding to what was left.
What each action costs
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| A post, on each channel generated | 1 |
| Regenerating an image | 1 |
| Applying a text rewrite | 1 |
| Instagram carousel | 1 |
| Instagram motion reel | 1 |
| Instagram AI video (standard) | 3 |
| Instagram AI video (premium) | 5 |
| Publishing your website — one time, first publish only | 15 |
| Registering a new domain through us | 20 |
Drafting a rewrite or previewing a regenerated image is free; you are only charged when you apply it. Approving a draft is free. Republishing your website is free — the 15 is charged once, on your first publish, and never again.
One-time top-ups
If you need more credits before your next refresh, buy a one-time top-up pack from the Billing page:
- 1 credit — $1.99
- 10 credits — $8.99
- 25 credits — $19.99
Monthly credits are always spent first. Top-up credits are only touched once this cycle’s monthly credits are gone, so the credits that expire get used before the credits that don’t.
Top-up credits never expire and stack on top of your monthly balance — a refresh never takes them away.
When credits deduct
One credit is deducted per channel generated, when the generation actually produces output. If generation fails because of an invalid topic or a broken website URL, the credit is not charged for that channel.
If your balance does not cover every channel you selected, nothing is deducted — the run is refused rather than partly charged. Make sure your balance covers the whole run before clicking Generate.
When you run out
The Generate button disables and you’ll see a “You’ve used all your generation credits for this cycle” banner. You have three options:
- Wait for your next refresh (shown in the banner).
- Buy a top-up pack from the Billing page.
- Upgrade, if you are on Free.
What happens to my credits if I cancel?
Your remaining balance stays through the end of your billing period. When the period ends, your plan drops to Free and the monthly allowance resets to 1 per month. You aren’t refunded for unused credits, but you can spend them while they’re still yours. Top-up credits you paid for are not taken away.
